Day 1: Hanoi - Tam Coc River (L, D)
8.00AM - Depart Hanoi for Ninh Binh
10.00AM - Visit Hoa Lu old citadel, the capital city of Vietnam before 1010 AD and discover an important piece of the country's early history.
1.00PM - Lunch at a local restaurant before taking a row boat along the tiny canal among the rice fields to visit Tam Coc (Three Grottoes).
6.00PM - Dinner and stay overnight at a hotel in Ninh Binh town.
Day 2: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Hang Kia Village (B, L, D)
8.00AM - Depart for Hoa Binh Province.
10.00AM - Stop for refreshments and admire the view of Mai Chau valley
12.00PM - Lunch in Mai Chau town.
2.00PM - Arrive at the White Thai village of Sa Linh and begin a 3-hour trek to the village of Hang Kia.
5.00PM - Our hosts for this evening will be the H’mong minority people. Whilst enjoying their hospitality, we will discover a little more about their lives and culture. Overnight in a homestay.
Day 3: Hang Kia - Van Village (B, L, D)
8.00AM - After breakfast, begin a 7-hour trek to Van Village, home of the White Thai people. The trek will take you through some unforgettable scenery and provide us with an opportunity to closely observe rural life in Vietnam.
12.00PM - A picnic lunch will be provided along the way.
3.00PM - Arrive in Van village and stroll down to the nearby stream. Our hosts for this evening will treat us to a fine meal and stories of life in Van village. They will also share their home brewed rice wine and toast our good health and happiness. Overnight in a homestay.
Day 4: Van Village - So Village (B, L, D)
8.00AM - Explore the surrounding villages after breakfast
12.00PM - Transfer back to Van village for lunch
1.00PM - begin a 3-hour trek to the village of So.
6.00PM - Dinner, followed by cultural interaction, before retiring in a stilt house.
Day 5: Van Village - Pông Kong Village - Hanoi (B, L)
12.00PM - Lunch and depart for Hanoi.
6.00PM - Arrive in Hanoi, check into hotel and relax. Free for dinner & overnight in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi - Departure (B)
Relax until transfered to the airport for your ongoing flight. |
