Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Pu Luong - 3 hour trek (B, L, D)
8.00AM - After breakfast, depart Hanoi for Pu Luong Natural Reserve via Mai Chau, passing fields of tapioca, sugar cane and rice paddies.
12.00PM - Arrive at Mai Chau valley for lunch.
2.00PM - Arrive at Pom Coong Village and begin trekking.
5.00PM - Arrive at Hang Village, home to an Thai ethnic minority. Spend the night with a local Thai family who will be our hosts in a traditional house built on stilts. Explore the village before dinner.
Day 2: Kho Muong Village - 6 hour trek (B, L, D)
8.00AM - Breakfast at the homestay before trekking.
12.00PM - Lunch break in a village along the way on Kho Muong village, passing through several Thai villages.
5.00PM - Arrive in Kho Muong, a Muong minority village where we will stay for the night.
Day 3: Cao Hoong Village - 6 hour trek and light climbing (B, L, D)
8.00AM - Begin trekking after breakfast. The journey would take you pass small hamlets and minority villages while climbing uphill on the Pu Luong range
1.00PM - After a light lunch, descend to the village of Cao Hoong, a village of Thai ethnic minority people, where we spend the night at home stay in Cao Hoong village.
Day 4: Trek to Cao Village - 6 hour trek and climbing (B, L, D)
8.00AM - Begin an undulating trek through forests, rice terraces and scenic villages.
12.00PM - Lunch break will be in a local village.
5.00PM - Spend the night at homestay in the Thai village of Cao.
Day 5: Cao Village - Canh Nang Town - Mai Chau - 5 hour trek (B, L, D)
8.00AM - Trek towards the Ma River after breakfast.
10.00AM - arrive at Pho Doan town and visit a local market.
11.00AM - Continue trekking along the Ma River and see paddies and water wheels.
1.00PM - We will be picked up and transferred to Mai Chau for a late lunch.
5.00PM - Overnight at home stay in Pom Coong village.
Day 6: Mai Chau - Hanoi - 4 hour trek (B, L)
9.00AM - Stroll around Mai Chau Valley after breakfast and be intrigued by the rural daily life activities of the locals.
12.00PM - Lunch will be with a local resident in their house before departing for Hanoi.
5.00PM - Arrive in Hanoi. |
